It’s happening soon…like tomorrow…I’m still not packed and in total denial that my nine years of stuff (as of April 16th) will need to be put into boxes and on to a truck…I hate moving, always have always will…not so much in the existential I hate good byes type way but more in the I suck at actually packing and put it off till the last minute the truck is coming tonight type of way…
I moved to NYC nine years ago this week…ironically I first lived in the building I currently reside (for a few more days) in Gramercy and then moved shortly thereafter to Williamsburg (N.3rd and Kent). This time around I’m moving to N.8th and Wythe i.e. right around the corner. I’m not going to go through the “I knew Williamsburg when”…but I did…
Now it’s like walking down 6th Street in Austin but with more short/tights/boots combos…we get it girls, it’s in, but when does it end? The summer of 2002 in Williamsburg was hands down the best summer of my life. We’d have six packs on rocks next the river, but those rocks have now been replaced by high rises. It’s true, you can never go home, but you sure can come close…it’s happening…soon…
